Kabul: Afghanistan's star cricketer Rashid Khan has strongly targeted Pakistan's alleged air attack in Kabul. He called it against humanity and said that targeting civilians is never justified. According to reports, more than 400 people have been killed and more than 250 injured in this attack. Rashid expressed his feelings openly on social media, the whole of Afghanistan is in shock.
Rashid Khan clearly said that attacks on civilian targets like homes, schools or hospitals fall in the category of 'war crime'. He wrote on X that whether it is intentional or accidental, the death of innocents is wrong. “This is a complete disregard for human lives, especially in the holy month of Ramadan – it is sickening and worrying,” he said.

According to Afghan officials, the attack hit Kabul's Omid Addiction Treatment Hospital, a 2,000-bed drug rehabilitation center. Patients suffering from drug addiction were admitted here. A large part of the hospital was destroyed in the attack, patients and staff did not get a chance to escape. The Taliban government called it an attack on civilians, while Pakistan claimed that there were only military targets.
Rashid Khan warned that such incidents will further increase hatred and division. There were already skirmishes and attacks going on on the border, now such an attack in a city like Kabul can worsen the situation. There is talk like "open war" from both sides, there seems to be little hope for peace.
Rashid Khan has demanded a full investigation from the United Nations and human rights organizations. He said that responsibility should be fixed in such cases so that such incidents are prevented in future. “Criminals must be held accountable,” he wrote. Many international voices are also talking about investigation and protection of civilians.
Many Afghan cricketers have expressed grief and anger over this attack. They described it as extremely painful, expressed condolences to the families of the victims and appealed for peace.
